I was going to ask at the official Muse board if there was any possibility to have a bootleg of the Cotton Club gig, but I was scared to do it, I thought it was going to be considered something morbid, but now I realize Americans are Americans and they record and broadcast everything, heh, heh, so.....we have even a video of the accident.

Thanks to the American guy who recorded it. (He has no luck with gigs, poor guy) But I read somewhere else there was another young guy from Costa Rica at the Atlanta gig. He travelled so much......poor guy.

so i've been waiting two years to see them almost, and i was really sad when i found out i couldn't go (to the atlanta show). i sold my tickets to someone. then i found out about this incident...and as sorry as i am for matt, i'm just a little bit glad it happened! yeah call me a bad person...but you have no idea how sad i was when i found out i couldn't go. well, you probably do...probably how sad/upset/whatever you were when he busted his lip. but if it means they're gonna come back and do a full show...lol i just hope i can go then.

someone above said something about a rescheduled date??? i haven't heard anything about that...if someone would like to tell me, i'd really appreciate it!

I tried to record Muse at the Razzmatazz in Barcelona. I was right in the middle of the floor about 9ft. back (that's 3 meters for our European continent friends who don't like America and our measurements). I was rudely jerked out of the crowd during the 3rd song and my tape was confiscated. In Madrid I missed the entire set excpet for "Stockholm Syndrome" b/c I had to go on a field trip into the sierras all day. Luckily I got the full set a couple weeks before at Forest National in Brussels. But I was annoyed by the 12-year olds who wouldn't share any of the spliffage that they were constantly partaking of...and as a veteran Muse fan I saw them in Lexington, KY with RHCP and FF. Don't worry man you'll see a full show someday. Maybe it will be on DVD but that's better than nothing right? Just kidding. And just to let you know, I had 10 tickets for each of the Radiohead Washington, DC gigs. Rented two cars and had two nights hotel. Man that sucked!

I travelled 600 miles to see Black Sabbath (snowing again) and found out they'd cancelled the show just as I arrived outside Hammersmith Odeon (getting hyped up by that stage of course). Still, it could have been worse; one bloke had come from Norway with a life-size cardboard effigy of Tony Iommi. I think he was crying.

I love Muse too (excuse me for my english but i'm french and I'd stopped learning english since...a long time...)I hope my english makes you laugh...Becoming to the serious problem...Muse are genious of course but I think they're exhausted because of their concerts. I've seen them tree times and the first was the best one because they were not "big stars"(in France now every teenagers listen to muse except those who listen Slipknot...no comment)the first concert was more "intimiste" (i can't remember how you they that in english!)and we saw that they really had fun while they were playing (they tried to say some words in french that was quite funny)the last concert I've seen was like a commercial show : any words to the audience...nothing !But i still loving Muse and I hope Matt is ok (I'm a girl and he's my kind of guy...sorry)

Well, there is good news for you guys, that they'll be back in Atlanta in Sepetember or something...Matt wants to make it up for you guys! I am from France and I have seen Muse in Paris too. They were very very good!!! and it was my best concert! They are fantastic,Matt plays the piano and sing as a King... what can i say again... nothing! They are just super! (sorry for my bad English)

Effectivement, il y a quelques français sur le site un peu grâce à musclemuse.com. Aussi, j'ai visionné la vidéo de Butterflies et hurricanes. On y voit un matthew barbu, non? Enfin, ce n'est qu'une anecdote car cette chanson est génial. Pour ce qui est du clip sur Citizen erased,il semble s'être blessé avec le manche de sa guitare. Par contre les réactions après le concert sont un peu moqueuse pour certains!!!! Drôle de fans.......

I really hope that they will make up for the missed show but I guess that wont be a problem. Although they do not talk much on stage, they seem to be pretty loyal towards their fans. Epecially as they've been waiting for their breaktrough in the States for so long now.
I have seen them 8 times, and (hopefully) I will attend 3 more festivals in summer and they were brilliant every time! I am surprised that this accident has not happened until now, considering how Matt is moving and jumping and running and...all the time on stage. Anyway, to all our American friends: Take any opportunity to see them and enjoy! To my fellow European friends (especially the French and Luxemburgish): Let's meet at the festival summer which seems to be a gooood one! Rock^n Roll Guys!

Thanks for posting that! I just wish you had footage of Dom apologizing and then later when the band came back out. The NME incorrectly said that the band without Matt came out at the end..also, then we would have evidence of their promise to return;)

Everytime I try to see muse something stupid happens. The first time was when they were really small and no-one knew them and they were playing at this tiny gig near me and so I turned up after a friend told me they had 3 extra tickets. Turn up, the friend got mugged and only had 2 left for their boyfriend and lil sister.
Then a few incidents including police and getting arrested before a show and a recent one where I rung up for tickets, they told me to ring back the next day, which I did and then before I could hand over my card details there was a huge cut in the lines and I lost everything. When eventually I called back 12 hours later the whole thing had sold out *cry*
So you are not the only one! Thanks for doing the video btw, really funny and tragic at same time x3

Ampèreheure Yankees stupide ? Nous ne sommes pas tels, nous vivons dans le sud que nous ne sommes pas des yankees. Le rire n'était pas à nous, et oui les Américains peuvent apprécier le MUSE, je pense à eux en tant qu'une des meilleures bandes dehors aujourd'hui, mais je conviens que la plupart des Américains goûtent dans la musique est horrible. Mais il y a beaucoup de bonnes bandes d'indie aux États-Unis.

oh, that's really tragic, i mean most of all for you, driving all that way!!! i'm always sooo scared that something similar happens at a concert where i'm going!!!
but luckily it never happened until today, well nearly, once i wanted to watch oasis in munich, but i didn't have the money for the ticket, so i didn't go, and i was really sad, as all my friends were going, except me, and then it was cancelled because the gallaghers got into a fight and were arrested !!!! haahaahaaa!!!!

thanks for the first bit of the vidio but the last bit u were just taking! i rly hope matt gets better soon and carries on w/ the music that muse bring out. there the best band i no and will go alot further than other bands. its called respect and if matt, dom or chris ever see this vidio i feel so sorry for them, to have to put up w/ the comments from people w/ no RESPECT must be rly hard for some people and it hurts when u hear things like that said about you. they have tried so hard to keep on going and to produce music that people of all kinds will like and then they get 'foulmouthed' by some who bring out this vidio. oh and one more thing muse should have so badly won that brit award!

Hey guys, I just wanna say; "Bummer." I'm really sorry about this whole incident and I hope they'll come back to Atlanta sometime so that you can see them. They're are so cool on stage, my neck still hurts from last time, haha!
I so hope they'll come to the Roskilde Festival in Denmark this year, and that Matt is going to be okay again. Really sad incident. Poor everyone.

I feel for you, i waited to see muse for so long a nd then when i finally did it was amazing. i missed out on seeing them so many times so i can imagine how your feeling. But what about matt, i adore him so much the poor thing, if i'd been there i'd have jumped up onto the stage to comfort him!!!!

Majority of you don't seem to actually give a about just how much pain Matt must have gone through there. All you guys laughing at it and making crude comments are sick! Okay, so he went a bit overboard, and himself in the chops with his guitar, but that's not really all that sidesplittingly funny now is it? THINK before you write stuff like it, it's NOT FUNNY! This is where all the TRUE Muse fans come out and show the ones who "just like the music" what arses they are. REAL Muse fans wouldn't add insult to injury by making cruel comments like it. How embarrassed must Matt be? I am a TRUE Muse fan, and that's why i'm sticking up for them, including Chris and Dom, and all those people backstage who make the gigs happen, it was a waste of time and money putting all that together and all those people thought it was funny! You make me ashamed to be a Muse fan!

I went to see muse in manchester last november, it was amazing.

i soooooo wana see muse again in concert. i saw them 1st at benicassim festival in spain a few yrs ago. they only did 3 dates in spain this march and none were nearby enuf for me to go.boohoo!, only 3 dates. why couldnt they come to valencia? or barcelona?! i was hoping theyd be playing this yrs benicassim but no. only chance ill get maybe is to fly to england for v festival. i love every song, theyre all fantastic musicians and matts piano playing is totally amazing,(i can play but am not in his league!) as well as his voice and not to mention hes v fit!

i'v got to agree with the previous statement; there is nothing funny about this incident. I also wanna say... for those who don't play a guitar, the strings have to be would around the peg... and they are often left sticking up. I'm pretty sure that is what he hit his lip on. it was nasty, but i remember hem saying that they would make it up to the fans. a promise of a later show in the works, possibly...?

Well, As the movie said: the key is no contact with the neck of the guitar...And even chris, who headbangs like a seacow realises this. But well, his lip had been professionaly erased...stiched and he has now, like me a scar on it...in the same corner...scary how much we seem te begin to match each other.....Anyway, it sucked but fortunately they'll play at pinkpop AND I WILL BE THERE....it looked really stupid btw....a well, nobody's perfect not even matthew god james bellamy.

Ah oui j'allais oublier: j'ai relu le début du forum et je trouve déplorable qu'il y est des gens qui se moque de Matthew. S'il s'est blessé c'était pour vous donner un concert digne de ce nom où les artistes sont vraiment impliqués. Je préfère avoir 5 minutes de concert où le groupe se donne à fond (avec une fin un peu brusque certes)que 1h30 de show sans aucune présence scénique!!!

je suis une accro de muse et plus particulièrement de matthew bellamy qui pour est le meilleur chanteur,le meilleur guitariste qu'il y est sur cette terre!!!! j'ai appris qu'il avait était victime d'une blessure en plein concert, c'est vraiment horrible ce qu'il lui est arrivé!! heureusement qu'il n'a pas eu de trop grave blessure!!
